Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements to be eligible to take the CNA class?

The student must be at least 16 years old and must also pass a background check.

How long is the program?

The course is three weeks long, currently in the day from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with the exception of the first Friday. Clinicals will start at 7 a.m.

What is included in the tuition?

Tuition includes textbooks and materials, supplies, uniform and school patch, stethoscope, and HIPAA certification, resume and job placement assistance.

What if I’m tardy for class?

Students more than 15 minutes late will be considered as having an unexcused absence unless they have a written excuse from an acceptable source.

Can I miss a day?

It is best to attend all classes, however we know life happens. One excused absence will be allowed with a make-up date. However, a student with two unexcused absences will be terminated from the program. Students must attend all clinicals.

What kind of payment plan do you have?

Students can pay half upfront, 25% will be due at the end week 1 and the last 25% will be due at the end of week 2.

Do you accept Mi Works and Michigan Rehabilitation Service and Health Profession Opportunity Grant (HPOG) payments?

Yes.

What form of payments do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards and debit card payments. All payments can be made online.

What if I fail the certification from Headmaster?

An ACT student can retake the class free of charge if done within 2 months of completing the course.

What if I can’t pass Headmaster's exam?

Students who can not pass state testing may work in home care as a Home Health Aide (HHA).

How will we know if school is closed due to inclement weather?

Please follow school closings for Monroe. Students will also be contacted via phone and can also check the school’s website for current school closures.

What days do students have to wear their uniform?

Students must wear their uniforms to lab and clinicals.

Do we have to get tested for Covid-19?

Yes, students will need to get tested 72 hours prior to the first day of class and prior to clinicals.

Will students need to wear face masks?

Yes, students will need to wear face masks in class and both a face mask and face shield during lab (These will be provided by the school). Students will also have temperatures checked upon entering the school.
